Busy Saturday in Clitheroe
The decision to hold our Summer Saturday Market on August 12th proved to be a good one as the streets of Clitheroe were full of visitors to the town’s annual food festival. It was wonderful to meet so many new people and the occasion proved to be a great promotional event for our weekly market even though we were not part of the official food festival.
The United Reformed Church was buzzing as there was a fund raising jumbo jig saw sale upstairs along with the cafe and the smell of bacon butties wafted temptingly down the stairs to us in the lower hall.
So many commented on it being their first visit to Clitheroe and how they would definitely be coming back. The Festival Organisers did a great job and the sun even made an appearance after a damp start to the day.
